Apparently, I missed the part in X-Men: First Class where it was mentioned that Sean (aka Banshee) was the world's biggest pothead.

Everyone else on the planet who saw the movie seems to have caught the message, but I managed to miss it. Huh.

I've seen that too; I think part of it is based in Irish stereotypes - he's the drunk, partying one, natch, so your mileage may vary on how offensive you find it, of course. Mostly, I think it's a bit of fanon that's gotten lodged into people's collective minds - feel free to accept or denounce it as it suits you. :P
