Roses and Cameras...

weirdqafanSo I attend Cal Poly Pomona (full name: California State Polytechnic University, Pomona aka CPP) and CPP in conjunction with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo has a float in the Rose Parade each year. This year the float was on campus for the students to see. I think the schools trade off years of who gets to have it for show after the Parade. How the float is built is that CPP does one half (in this case the front aka dragon half) and CPSLO does the other (the castle) half. And since technology is not always one giant pain in the ass (and to celebrate being back at school with my computer and fabulous ethernet connection)...I have pictures!
The shell of the snail was done with pineapple rind. It was v. v. impressive up close.
