So going home for the weekend meant that I got to catch up on shows that I record while I'm at school. Currently that consists of Nip/Tuck. So I got all caught up on the season so far...

Cuts for any possible spoilers

I *LOVE* IT! Seriously, this season of Nip/Tuck is great. I'm really enjoying it.

I was quite shocked when Christian was arrested as the Carver. That was an interesting twist. Although I found it interesting how they incorporated his mother into it. And it sucked that Sean was having doubts, but it's understandable. And Christian's reaction was also understandable.

I personally think the Carver is that new doctor, Quentin Costa. Especially with the irony that he's 'the best face man'. A psyche being twisted after constantly seeing first hand the vanity (especially facial vanity) that people have. It kinda makes sense. Plus he could have gotten a condom of Christian's when he was at his apartment about to get some action with Kit to plant. And he was so certain Christian wasn't guilty.

And can I just say that I fully enjoyed the irony of Kit being the latest Carver victim? Is that wrong that I did? But regardless, I did. It made some poetic sense. Especially how she then had to go to Christian for help to fix her injuries. And of how, if she hadn't had Christian arrested, she may not have been targeted.

Like I said, I'm so lovin' this season!

So I'm not liking Season 2 of VM so much. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I hate it and of course I'll watch every second of it! But it's just not as good as Season 1. I mean, the bus crash is intriguing and all, but Veronica's so different this Season. I miss the bitter, sarcastic take no crap from anyone Veronica that we saw (and fell in love with) Season 1. And I know that she's changed now 'cuz Lilly's real killer is in jail and that she's changed with how she's got more friends and a boyfriend and all that. But still...

And Veronica/Duncan is annoying me. Whenever I see lovey-dovey couples like that, it annoys me. And I don't really see their relationship going anywhere. I just think there's too much shit, but they're basically ignoring and trying to reclaim what they once had. And considering Veronica so obviously has feelings for Logan and Duncan's got feelings for Meg...

But I'm so amused by Charisma Carpenter being on it. And I read somewhere that she will be in more episodes and that in one episode, Alyson Hannigan is also in it and the writers made sure to actually give them quite a few lines together. I think all Buffy peeps will enjoy that. And considering the characters they're playing? Kendall fucked Trina's little brother. That should make for an interesting conversation!

Queer As Folk~
I brought Season 4 back to school with me, so that Chrystal can see it. We went through Seasons 1-3 so quickly! I hadn't anticipated us watching all 3 before Winter break. But we'll watch Season 4 soon.

I think I'm one of the few who actually really enjoyed Season 4. I think Season 5 kinda sucked, but I enjoyed Season 4. Even if it wasn't as perfect or as good as some of the fics I had read (when is a show ever as good as some of the fanfiction about it?) it still had a lot of character development, which I greatly appreciated. Justin w/ the Posse, Brian w/ the cancer. Ted w/ the dealing w/ his addiction and really befriending Brian (which I loved!). Emmett meeting Drew. Michael & Ben getting custody of Hunter. Deb dealing with Vic's death. To me, it was all good. Well not good, but I did like how the characters progressed. Didn't pay any attention to the lesbians 'cuz honestly, at that point they were just filler and props to occasionally let us see Gus. But I did like it.

I wasn't the least bit surprised The Carver went after Kit. He (she?) can't stand it when someone else takes "credit" for his (her?) work. I'm not going to blame the victim . . . oh, wait, yeah, I am. Kit got what she set herself up for! I wouldn't be surprised if the new guy is The Carver. I think it'll be someone the fans know.

You're not alone in your feelings on season 2 of VM. Veronica just seems off this season. She's trying to hard to revert back to her pre-MurderOfLily Days. Back with Duncan, being an '09er again, trying to be "normal" again but it's just not her. Everyone misses that sassy, firey Veronica of season one. I loathe her and Duncan as a couple. He's almost as exciting as owning a pet rock. *Yawn*
